Ubiquiti AirVision and AirVision NVR installation on Ubuntu via APT

Ubiquiti AirVision provides advanced recording capabilities and powerful analytics with a breakthrough web based user interface.
Combined with Ubiquiti’s powerful line of H.264 megapixel airCam IP Cameras, airVision is a revolutionary price/performance IP video surveillance system.

This suite can quite easily installed via APT (under Ubuntu oneiric in this article).

1. Add Ubiquiti repository editing /etc/apt/sources.list:

## Ubiquiti AirVision and AirVision NVR
deb http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/airvision/apt #release# ubiquiti

REPLACE #release# with the distribution in use (examples follow):
oneiric for 11.10
natty for 11.04
maverick for 10.10

Add Ubiquiti public repository key:

wget -O -\
  http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/airvision/apt/airvision.gpg.key\
  | apt-key add -

Install AirVision NVR by executing:

apt-get update
apt-get install airvision-nvr

Install AirVision by executing:

apt-get update
apt-get install airvision

Connect to the system via browser to URL: https://:7443
